The Casual Dress, $10

unlined, made from stretchy fabric (fine knit or jersey)

The Cocktail Dress,  $10
fully lined dress with corset like bodice, wide, rounded shoulder straps and reversed tulip shaped skirt

As a bonus a kinda step-by-step picture instruction, of the tricky steps, comes as pdf.file with this pattern, however it's not a complete sewing instruction. The patterns requires at least basic sewing skills, would not suggest as your very first sewing project.

Pattern will be sent out, as soon as payment arrived, BUT please note: I'm located in Germany, there may be a delay in sending out the files due to the different time zone.

Please make sure that you let me know, along with your Paypal payment, a working e-mail addy that accepts attachments.

Thank you!

Happy sewing,
Jule in snowy Germany

PS:
I'm still working on digitizing/editing pictures for these both patterns, almost finished and supposed to be released later this week:
The Sheath Dress, $10

The Little, Boxy Jacket, $10  ($6 when bought together with a dress pattern)

preview pics

here are the first pics of my dresses from my sewing patterns that will become available on Sunday, Dec 9th!

The Casual Dress,
unlined, made from stretchy fabric (fine knit or jersey)

VERSION 1: made from a very fine, slinky modal jersey -version with long bell sleeves and cuffs, neckline gathered fabric at the sides
The Casual Dress, VERSION 2 - in dark blue fine knit fabric with satin insets around neckline, long, straight sleeves, folded neckline

The Little Boxy Jacket - made from a berry colored wool boucle
slightly asymetric cut on the front, with underarm gores that allow some intersting contrasts

VERSION 3 of THE Casual Dress:
beige fine knit, elbow length sleeves with cuffs, contrasting faux suede insterts, v-neckline

pics to follow

Cocktail Dress
fully lined dress with corset like bodice, wide, rounded shoulder straps and reversed tulip shaped skirt

-the 'reverse' tulip skirt has 4 big pleats on the front that create the tulip shape
-the bodice has an unusual cut, that just calls for piping along the seams or lace inserts
-the wide shoulder straps are rounded to cover the shoulder-arm connection for a nice, aesthetic look

The Little BOXY Jacket, same jacket as above shown in a berry color, slightly asymetrical. If you use a big button to close it, it looks in the worn-open version like a brooch. The side gores, along the side seam and on the

VERSION 2 : grey wollen suiting, black lace insert in bodice front panel and a smaller, but longer skirt ( without pleats but with two darts) ..pics to follow

Sheath Dress
fully lined dress with a classic armscye princess seam silhouette but an unusual dart detail in the front panel
This dress looks like a perfect little business  dress. Classy with a twist.

The darts were moved to the middle and create an unsual arriv/chevron pattern.

Again The Little BOXY Jacket was used.
I run out of time to make one in greyish tweed. But the berry color adds some color on a dull day.

VERSION 2 : blue dress with a v-neck and short sleeves.. pics to follow

Hope you enjoyed the first preview pics, MORE PICS TOMORROW!!

the sewing patterns are finished>>

So today is picture taking time and turning the patterns into pdf.files!!
YEAH!

So glad that I finally finished the patterns, it took me much longer than expected.
I wanted to make at least two final dresses of each pattern to show you the opportunities (as I offer variation possibiliteies for each pattern).
With two little kids who brought us some seasonal respiratory infections from Germ Central, aka the daycare place, home, it was not that easy to sneak away for sewing. Since I was dealing with another infection from a few weeks ago the new germ kicked in and knocked me out.

The designs:
One of the dresses is quite casual - an unlined style, longsleeved with a wonderful neckline detail - to be made from stretchy fabric (jersey or fine knit fabric).
The second dress is a cocktail dress with a stylish bustier part and a 'tulip' shaped skirt part and the third dress a sheath dress with an unusual front. Dress two and three are a bit 'Mad Men' style, both require lining and a bit more sewing experience than dress one.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the little jacket...!!

Hope you are looking forward the pattern, I can hardly wait to show off the pics!
I will offer the pattern as well as the dresses on this blog, and even thought about opening an Etsy account - not sure if one can offer there something for sale right away or if it takes time to let them check identity of new users? Anybody knows?

Winterly greetings,
Jule in snowy Germany

outfits for JS male dolls and some pattern(FS) in the works

Hi folks,
no pics today, but some news!

I'm soo glad with my latest doll purchases!!
Tonner's Aragon and the Basic Alejandro (Jamieshow) moved in here just recently..and I'm totally in love with them. Especially with Alejandro!
Wow, he is such a good looking guy! He poses like a dream and it is such a fun designing for him.

In the past I never expected to become excited about a male doll, but being the mom of little boys changed my perspective.
Now I can see that male clothes can be cool and stylish too- and than men need more than just dark suits, blue shirts with ties, and some plain t-shirts plus blue jeans, nope..outfits for the males have not to be that boring like hubby closet contents!haha

Since I'm picky about the fit of clothes Alejandro does not simply wear Matts stuff, his arms are longer and smaller, his waist/hips are smaller too, he is more athletic than Matt .. therefore he got a whole new wardrobe. Now I'm just waiting for the Jamieshow stand to arrive (as much as I love the quality of the doll, I was  disappointed that he does come without stand - I didn't see that info anywhere, otherwise I would have ordered one right away with the doll, so it was almost $60just to get the stand from AngelicDreams shipped to Germany, well at least that opened the opportunity to get some more shoes for him- stuffed into the stand package).

As soon as the stand&shoes are here, it will be time for PICTURES of Alejandros new outfits!!!

When taling pictures the Cissy will demand their picture taking time too. Fashion that are the prototypes from my latest pattern.
On the MAcissy Yahoo list is right now a LittleBlack Dress contest, and since I was asked about my patterns in the past I decided to offer some patterns that could be used for LBD.
There will be 3 dress patterns as well as a cute little jacket pattern.
It takes me longer than I expected - right now I'm done with the muslin versions of the dresses, phew, one dress as well as the jacket are finished in the ' final fabric' version - two more two go and then I can show you pics and offer the pattern for sale.
working on the pleated skirt part of the dress..to let the pleats meet exactly the bodice seams

also some more length added and skirt part finished was finsihed as 'paper version'...in the upper right corner you can spy a little raw drawing of the dress

I expect the Cissy pattern FS to be ready with by Tuesday or Wednesday, stay tuned!!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday,
Jule who is off now to use the time before the little one gets up from his nap to put on the Xmas decoration, First Sunday of Advent already!Time just flies!!!

Something cool for 16"Tonner and for Cissy too!

Hi folks,
I have something new for you:
biker jacket with metal zippers, a sharp skinny pant plus a stylish top with a big ruffle on the front from grey, snake print genuine silk chiffon.
It was such a fun to make this outfit for two sizes of dolls! Both wear it really great, love how the pants hug the curves and the top adds a femine touch, the biker style jacket completes the look.

I'll be adding more pics and infos here tonight,
so stay tuned!

Jule

The top is adds a feminine touch, it's made from genuine silk chiffon. The fabric looks wonderful in shades of gray with a snake skin print. The top features a a ruffle in the fron and an attached panty, which ensures a perfectly tucked in fit once you add pants/skirt.

Autumn collection for 16inch gals

  It's all about AUTUMN

I finally took pic!!MANY Pics.
For enlarged views, just click the pics!

So tonight I'm showing you my new designs - for sale - for Tyler/Antoinette and tomorrow the new things I came up with for Cissy.

I worked with a fabulous brown faux suede, the most wonderful faux suede I ever worked with!!
It looks like the real thing, is a thin and stretchy quality...PERFECT for skinny pants!! I absolutely LOVE this stuff, unfortunately I was only able to get the very last yard of this fabric...more than enough to make several pants but I can't reorder it again, ack.

The second fabric I used, on two designs, is a blue chiffon with brown/white/orange paisley print.

The colors of the chiffon print are great, they make the fabric so versatile.
They allow you to mix it with blue shades (think of denim), brown (those brown suede pants), orange, white, pale yellow...

Fabric number three is a knitted fabric
Soft chenille wool, looks awesome and feels soo soft.  I serged all seams and sewed them with tiny tiny hand stitches flat and down.

I made a hooded cardigan from it, looks great worn open or closed with the braided belt.

Fabric number four used in this little collection was a terracotta fabric(kinda subtle shade of orange), not sure what the fiber texture is.

It's been a while since I bought this one and I can't remember but it was in a box with my silks - at least it feels and looks like those soft, washed silks. But I did the burn test, it isn't silk - maybe a silk-mircofibre mixture?
I used it on the safari dress, the neckband on the both chiffon tops, made the terracotta top and the braided belt  from it.

So here we go with LOTS of pics,
enjoy!

It's getting cold outside...the girls need some autumn stuff

Hi folks,
I have some preview pics of some new Cissy and 16inch outfits.
Taking pictures is still a challenge, as I haven't found a place for my photoshooting table yet, but at least more of my dolls are out of the moving boxes and I'm back on the sewing machine...

In September I've got nothing new finished cause we went on vacation, which was just WONDERFUL. We spent two weeks on the isle of Usedom/located in the Baltic Sea. The rest of September was quit and full of memories and grief over the sudden loss of my dad last September.

However October seems to become a quite productive month. A few new Tyler things/some already finished, some in the works, a new blouse for the CED gals and some Cissy items....wow, you get quite a lot done when hubby is at a business trip and you stay up all night(s):-)

I really enjoyed creating something up-to-date for Cissy.
Pssst..And a note for the 16inch collectors: I want to make a version of this outfit in 16inch size, maybe with some additional black leather pants.
Slim fit silver pants, biker style jacket(with metal zippers) and snake print silk top with a  big ruffle on the front. Oh, almost forgot the pencil skirt which turnes the outfit from night-out style into business meeting look. Totally loved the fabrics withe the lurex threads in it, looks amazing in person.

Cowgirl/western style: blue checked blouse with tiny white piping(gosh, this blouse was quite fingertwisting to make,LOL) plus some cool dark blue jeans.

More pics soon,
stay tuned..
